Make a "change any time you feel like it" Scrapbook Layout
Are you going through a difficult time trying to figure out what to do with your
scrapbook layouts? Maybe at times you get annoyed at the types of silly mistakes
you make in placing the embellishments? So here’s the solution. It’s simple, fun
and can keep you entertained for hours until you are satisfied with the final outcome
of those treasured scrapbook layouts.
All you need to do is use magnetic sheets for your scrapbook album to add more fun.
You can either decide to make the whole scrapbook album using magnetic papers or
decide to add them in whenever you want to light up the spirit within your scrapbook
layouts.
Making a "quick change" layout, without glue
No matter how funky colored papers may look at first, when you keep working on them
over and over again, the chances are high for you to get bored with the effects
you can create. So if you feel it is getting a bit dull inside your scrapbook album
with repetitive colors, add in magnetic papers in between to add in excitement.
One of the main advantages of using magnetic papers is that they come with an adhesive
strip. So, whatever you want to add in to the scrapbook layout will be firmly held
against it. This even applies to semi metallic or non-metal objects. So the creative
experiments that you can come up with magnetic papers are endless.
The most striking characteristic about magnetic paper is the way it allows us to
arrange and re-arrange content and embellishments over and over again. So you can
finally say good bye to those days that you spent worrying about embellishing mistakes!
Magnetic papers that come with a single side adhesive can be pasted on a hard board
to strengthen its life span. The thickness and stability of the hard board can be
determined depending on the purpose you are using it for. For example, if you want
to create a cover page for your scrapbook album the board needs to be thicker than
that of partition cover pages in your scrapbook.
A simple process for a unique effect
You could also use magnetic papers to create magnetic greeting cards, poems to word
puzzles. Simply follow these steps and you should be done:
- Grab a magnetic paper strip, blank sheets, pens, scissors,
an extacto blade and cardboard
- On the black sheets, print the words/phrases you want.
- Now it’s time to cut out the paper in to any shape
you like.
- Next, peel off the adhesive protector in your magnetic
strip.
- Place the cut out on the adhesive and make sure it
is laid out without ripples or hunches.
- Now cut out the magnetic paper to take the form of
initial cut out. You now have a neatly laid out greeting card or a poem that can
be added to your scrapbook layouts.
In order to create puzzle pieces, you need to print out letters or words on a blank
sheet. Next, you should paste the words/letters on the adhesive side of magnetic
papers. Finally, you could use the exacto knife to trim away the excess parts of
the letter/words. This way you will have solid letters which can be either used
in puzzles or on scrapbook layouts for title embellishments.
